TOKYO – PT Korintiga Hutani (KTH) has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the 2026 Oji Group CEO Award. This year, KTH was honored for the successful execution of two primary initiatives: enhancing business productivity through the implementation of a full packet system in planting and harvesting operations, and increasing land productivity through the improvement of the seedling root system.

The award presentation ceremony was held in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday (August 3, 2026). During the event, Mr. Cheolju Kim attended on behalf of PT Korintiga Hutani to accept the award from the CEO of Oji Holdings, Mr. Hiroyuki Isono.

Mr. Cheolju Kim acknowledged that reviewing the structure of the planting and harvesting contracts was a challenging process. However, through these continuous improvement efforts, KTH projects it will generate economic benefits of approximately JPY 2.9 billion, or roughly IDR 330 billion annually.

“Initially, it was difficult to secure understanding and support from the relevant stakeholders, which is why it took more than three years to implement these changes comprehensively. Nevertheless, through consistent effort, this transformation has not only accelerated the execution of each task but also elevated the overall quality of work,” he explained.
