The company’s leaders came down to the fire command post at the North Arut District office to hand essentials to North Arut District Head Saprudin. With him were members of the local district leadership coordination forum (Forkopimcam) and local figure Yoner.
These items included 100 5-kg sacks of rice, 100 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of mineral water, and medical face masks.
North Arut District Head Saprudin thanked KTH for the support amid the ongoing fire crisis.
“We’re grateful to PT Korintiga Hutani for paying attention to us and supporting us. This aid will certainly be helpful in mitigating wildfire impacts.”
Disaster management responsibility should not only fall on the government, Saprudin added. Cross-stakeholder support and collaboration are needed, including from the business sector and general public.
“We sincerely hope to keep this spirit of collaboration alive. When the government, businesses, and community work together, we can accelerate disaster response and promptly meet the needs of affected communities.”
GMM expected the aid to be used as soon as possible to help people cover these needs and assist ground teams as well as groups helping to contain the fires. (Senatortv)
