CENTRAL KALIMANTAN – For this year’s Independence Day, Korintiga Hutani (KTH) held a solemn flag-raising ceremony at the soccer field of its Pelita Base Camp in Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. All the company executives and staff members attended, including President Director Hironobu Abe.
This was preceded by a series of games and performances, bringing fun, creativity, and camaraderie into the commemoration of August 17.
Ceremony instructor Indro Murdono told the PR team that Sunday (8/17), “Today’s ceremony reflects our commitment to upholding nationalistic values and teamwork. I hope these values live on in every step that we take as a company.”
One highlight of the day was a children’s fashion parade involving students from company-funded Rimba Pelita Elementary. Little boys and girls appeared in colorful, creative costumes that honor local heritage.
Other segments were sports games, an environmental hygiene contest for live-in employees, a walking event with door prize giveaways, and a food bazaar. Entertainment stages included music performances and traditional and modern dance. All these elements worked together to create an unforgettable moment for the company and its employees.

At Korintiga Hutani, August 17 means more than a nationwide celebration. It demonstrates how celebrating freedom reinforces employee bonds and a sense of belonging while developing individual talent and creativity.
Its simple yet meaningful activities deepen teamwork and align with values instilled by our founding fathers. (PR)
