PT Korintiga Hutani is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Nursery Manager to join our team in West Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing nursery operations, overseeing seedling production, and ensuring the highest quality standards in every aspect of our nursery activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily nursery operations, including work scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with the planting team.

  • Oversee the plant production process from propagation to shipping preparation, ensuring consistent quality standards.

  • Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, and implement effective pest management strategies.

  • Efficiently manage inventories of seedlings, nutrients, and other production materials.

  • Train and mentor the nursery team to enhance their skills and competencies in plant management.

  • Record and report seedling production data, including plant growth rates and resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production targets are achieved.

  • Conduct routine inspections of nursery facilities and ensure optimal infrastructure maintenance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Horticulture, Agriculture, Biology, or a related discipline.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant Nursery Manager or in crop plantation operations.

  • Deep knowledge of plant cultivation techniques, pest and disease control, and plant nutrient management.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and environmental management standards.

  • Proficiency in utilizing production data recording and reporting systems.

  • Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work in the field and readiness to adapt to extreme weather conditions.
