The management of PT KTH symbolically handed over basic food assistance to the people affected by Covid-19 which was received directly by the Regent of Lamandau, H Hendra Lesmana.
Kotawaringin News, Lamandau – PT Korintiga Hutani distributed hundreds of staple food packages to people affected by Covid-19 in Lamandau Regency. The aid was distributed to the community through the Lamandau Regency Government.
Symbolically, the distribution of hundreds of staple food packages was handed over in person by the representative of PT Korintiga Hutani to the Regent of Lamandau, H. Hendra Lesmana at the Lamandau Regency Office, Thursday, April 30, 2020.
“Today, we once again received a donation from the business sector located in Lamandau. Thank you to PT Korintiga Hutani for distributing around 245 sacks of 5 kg rice and 100 boxes of instant noodles,” said Regent Hendra after receiving the donation symbolically.
Hendra Lesmana further explained that the donation will be distributed to the community through the Lamandau Regency Social Service. The aid recipients are the people in desperate need during the Covid-19 pandemic. “The distribution system to the people will be organized by the social service, and it will certainly be given to the poor residents affected by the Covid-19 outbreak,” he said.
With the increasing concern from the private sector in handling the impact of Covid-19, H. Hendra who also serves as the Head of Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force of Lamandau Regency said that the Lamandau Regency Government encouraged companies located in Lamandau to take part in handling the Coronavirus outbreak in this region nicknamed “Bumi Bahaum Bakuba”.
“PT Korintiga is one of several companies that have showed concern in handling Covid-19 in Lamandau Regency. This is truly helpful and I encourage the business sector here to be able to show their action in handling the impact of this outbreak,” said H Hendra Lesmana.
In the same tone, the Head of Lamandau Social Service, Hj. Endang Rustiningsih said that this staple food aid from PT Korintiga Hutani will temporarily be stored in the logistics warehouse before being distributed to the community.
“Meanwhile, we will store it first in the Social Service logistics warehouse, and we will immediately determine the distribution system to the people,” he explained.
It it known that after being handed over symbolically by the representative of PT Korintiga Hutani to the Lamandau Regency Government, hundreds of staple food packages consisting of rice and instant noodles were transported using a number of pick-up cars to the logistics warehouse of Lamandau Regency Social Service. The symbolic donation handover event was also attended by the Head of Lamandau Social Service and several representatives of PT Korintiga Hutani management. (BH/K2)
