PANGKALAN BUN – As a social concern and to fulfill people’s aspiration, PT Korintiga Hutani held a mass circumcision service for children living around the company’s area, on the mid of November 2019.
The target of the mass circumcision among others, are people living in Umpang Village, South Arut Subdistrict. The mass circumcision service was attended by the parents and the local community leaders. In addition to the free circumcision service funded by the company, the participants also received gifts handed over by the General Manager of PT KTH, Mr. Kim Geun Tai. “This kind of activities have been held several times in HTI clinic,” said the assistant Manager of CSR, Erwansyah Ardi.
The mass circumcision service was not only meant for the Muslims children, but children who were not Muslims also received the same treatment, just like what has been done in Panahan Village, North Arut Subdistrict. “All the activities are free, the participants are not charged with a fee because this is purely the company’s role towards the interest of people living around the company,” he stated.
According to him, this kind of activities have been done often times because circumcision has become an obligation that supports children’s health in the future. According to Erwan, health empowerment is a social side that occupies a priority position by the management of PT KTH.
The free healthcare held by the company’s clinic is open to all people, whether it’s employees, the family of employees, and people around the company’s area.
“Everyone received the same treatment. This is the management’s commitment with a motto that says, ‘build for the country,’” he said.
In the development process, PT Korintiga Hutani keep prioritizing a synergy with every stakeholder related to the government, the community, and several other parties.
