PANGKALAN BUN – PT Korintiga Hutani’s commitment to Work for the Nation is not merely a jargon, but has always been proven with work and realization. This is shown with the granting of a consortium road from PT Korintiga Hutani’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to West Kotawaringin Regency Government on October 22nd, 2020.
The granting ceremony was held in Nanga Mua Village, North Arut (Aruta) District. The grant was handed over by Director Mr. Park Jong Myung himself to the Regent of Kobar Hj. Nurhidayah.
Mr. Park Jong Myung stated that a true contribution that can be really felt by all parties is how to improve infrastructure especially road and bridge access.
“The construction of road infrastructure is PT Korintiga Hutani’s CSR program in addition to its other CSR programs,” said Mr. Park Jong Myung.
The construction of bypass road in Nanga Mua Village-Pangkut Village was being developed through a consortium scheme with a length of 17 km and a width of 16 meters. In this case, PT Korintiga Hutani is the party that provides assistance as the work executor.
“This will facilitate and smoothen transportation between villages, and between villages and districts and also regencies. Therefore, people can do their activities properly, economic wheels can develop fast, and developments in other sectors can also run well,” he explained, while also mentioning that this social concern from PT Korintiga Hutani toward the community of North Arut, in particular Nanga Mua Village, continues to become a focus for PT Korintiga Hutani’s management.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Kobar Hj. Nurhidayah said that this part of road that’s already been built is a form of support from PT Korintiga Hutani, and the construction of this road infrastructure is hoped to bring a change toward a better future for the community of Kobar, especially in North Arut District area.
