Kobar News, Pangkalan Bun – PT Korintiga Hutani (KTH) is giving contribution in inter-village road construction in North Arut (Aruta) sub-district of West Kotawaringin (Kobar) Regency. This is proven by PT KTH’s construction through a consortium program, which was officially agreed upon by the West Kotawaringin District Government with the company at the Groundbreaking Ceremony in Aruta Road Construction on Wednesday (09/08) in the Penyombaan village, North Arut sub-district.
Will full commitment, the road that will be built by PT KTH reaches a length of 15,623 meters passing trhough three villages, which are Pandau, Riam, and Panahan village.
The Director of Korintiga Hutani, Park Jong Myung said, with the road construction through a consortium program, it is hoped this would facilitate and ease the transporation between villages and sub-districts and districts.
“Therefore, it is hoped all of the community’activities can run smoothly, the economic cycle can quickly developed and the regions can be built together through communal work,” said Park Jong Myung, during the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Aruta Road Construction in Penyombaan village.
The General Manager of PT KTH, Rais Sugito explained that the consortium program is part of the company’s commitment to improve the welfare of people living around the company’s location, especially in terms of infrastructure.
“The assistance that we are giving is not in the form of money, but in the form of workmanship, including heavy equipment, labors, operators, and so on. The technical work is done and supervised directly by the Public Works Agency. That means the work that we are doing is in accordance with the government standards,” said Rais.
Meanwhile, the Regent of West Kotawaringin, Hj. Nurhidayah appreciates the commitments made by a number of companies involved in the consortium of village road construction in Aruta sub-district. According to her, it only took three meetings with the company to discuss the road construction in Aruta, which reaches 70 kilometers in total.
“We only needed three meetings to bring success for this program. With the consortium, it is proven that between West Kotawaringin District Government and the company to create a synergy in building the region,” Hj. Nurhidayah said at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Aruta Road Construction some time ago.
Nurhidayah added, if calculated, the amount of the budget for 70 kilometers road construction will cost around Rp 32 billion, and if the cost is charged to the government through the Local Government Budget (APBD), it will take a long time to realize the program. Through this consortium, the government would gain support.
