CENTRAL KALIMANTAN — PT Korintiga Hutani (PT KTH) welcomed the first official visit of Kazuyoshi Ando, President of Oji Green Resources Co., Ltd., at Base Camp Pellita, Kalimantan. The President was received by the President Director of PT KTH, Hironobu Abe, along with the company’s board of directors.
The visit, which took place on Saturday (12/06/2025), marks a significant milestone in reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two companies. The focus remains on supporting sustainable forest management, environmental conservation, and the development of community education within the operational areas.
“This visit is a clear testament to the synergy between PT KTH and Oji Green Resources in realizing our shared commitment to education and environmental preservation. We believe that investing in the younger generation is the best investment for the future,” said Hironobu Abe, President Director of PT Korintiga Hutani.
The itinerary began with a direct field inspection of PT KTH’s concession area to observe the implementation of sustainable forest management practices, which are central to the company’s sustainable development principles.
The group then visited SDS Rimba Pelita, a PT KTH-supported school that serves as a symbol of the company’s dedication to improving local education quality. Kazuyoshi Ando was greeted by traditional Kalimantan dance performances by kindergarten and elementary students, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

As a gesture of environmental stewardship, Ando participated in a tree-planting session on the school grounds. During the event, PT KTH also inaugurated two new classrooms built to enhance the learning environment, marked by a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Ando.
