PELLITA — Korintiga Hutani hosted a Class D firefighting training Monday (12/8) at Makka Sports Complex, part of the Pellita Base Camp. This session was for its in-house fire response team, and demonstrated a commitment to safety and health.
R. Candra Priyo S. from the local Fire and Rescue Agency covered topics like fire safety fundamentals, fire extinguisher use, initial suppression techniques, and emergency response procedures, which align with safety standards.
“We’re not just teaching theory, we’re giving you practical learning experiences to ensure everyone has the right and prompt response to [fire] emergencies,” said Candra, as he was called, in the session.
Echoing Candra’s words, KTH’s HRD Manager Indro Murdono said workplace safety remains the company’s top priority. “We aim to foster a strong OSH culture across our operations, and equip employees with the awareness and preparedness to handle [accident] risks.”

Beyond skill-building, the session helps Korintiga Hutani continue its ongoing efforts to meet OSH regulations and improve its internal safety management system. (PR)
