CENTRAL KALIMANTAN – PT Korintiga Hutani (KTH) recently held a safety driving training session for truck drivers from the company’s business partners. Located at GOR Maka, Pelita Base Camp, Nanga Mua, Central Kalimantan, the program invited experts from the West Kotawaringin Traffic Police (Satlantas) to serve as speakers.
The training was organized to strengthen a culture of road safety and support secure, orderly operations. It also serves as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve driver competence, discipline, and awareness of safe driving practices.
Traffic safety is viewed not only as an individual responsibility but as an integral part of a collective working system. “We appreciate PT KTH’s initiative in organizing this training. It demonstrates a genuine concern for the safety of both the drivers and other road users,” stated Andrian, a representative from the West Kotawaringin Satlantas.
The curriculum covered various essential topics, including a deep dive into traffic regulations, defensive driving techniques, heavy-load vehicle handling, fatigue management, and road accident prevention strategies.
Through this initiative, PT KTH expects drivers to consistently apply safety driving principles in their daily activities, thereby minimizing accident risks and fostering a safer, more responsible work environment.
