CENTRAL KALIMANTAN – Korintiga Hutani further deepens its role in cultural preservation and community empowerment with its funding of the Lamandau Festival 2025.
This move enables public-private collaboration that strengthens heritage conservation and promotes creative economy growth.
The annual festivities took place November 11-14 at the city square of Nanga Bulik, Lamandau Regency. “We’re proud to be part of Lamandau Festival 2025, which demonstrates our commitment to supporting local culture and community empowerment,” said Erwansyah, Korintiga Hutani’s Public Relations executive.
Lamandau Regent Rizky Aditya Putra opened and closed the four-day festival, which featured nationally known acts and drew audiences from across the region, along with members of local Forkopimda (regional leadership communication forums).
Activities included the Babukung Festival (a funeral ritual and cultural icon in Lamandau), Lamandau Expo (a local product and creative economy showcase), and music performances. Hundreds of micro, small, and medium businesses could be seen at the Expo selling a wide range of regional goods.
This edition of the celebration saw strong levels of engagement — underscoring a need for cross-sector participation in rural development that maintains cultural values.
Through its support for cultural and social events, as well as people development, Korintiga Hutani hopes to reinforce local identity while encouraging young members of local communities to respect and preserve their heritage. (PR)
