CENTRAL KALIMANTAN – Central Kalimantan news outlet Kalteng Pos awarded Korintiga Hutani (KTH) for its sustained efforts in promoting sustainable development as well as social, economic, and environmental growth in the region.
Receiving the plaque on Wednesday (12/24) was KTH’s President Director Hironobu Abe, accompanied by Deputy General Manager Rais Sugito and CSR & PR Manager Erwansyah Ardi. This award is granted to companies that implement responsible, law-compliant, and sustainability-oriented business practices.
Dr. HM Wahyudie F. Dirun, director of PT Kalteng Pos Press (Kalteng Pos), said KTH has been consistent in balancing business interests, environmental conservation, and community empowerment within its operational areas — reflected in the company’s programs and policies that align with sustainable development principles.
“We see a strong commitment from Korintiga Hutani to enforcing sustainability principles, regulatory compliance, and corporate social responsibility [in its operations]. This commitment is what drives our decision to grant [you] this award,” Wahyudie said.
KTH’s President Director, Hironobu Abe, appreciated the gesture.

Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager Rais Sugito emphasized the need for business-media collaboration to build an objective, constructive view of companies and industries.
“[Having] synergy with the press, like Kalteng Pos, is key to delivering balanced information and educating the general public on forestry and [other] natural resource industries. It can [even] encourage widespread adoption of sustainable, transparent business practices.”
