Pangkalan Bun – PT Korintiga Hutani (KTH) received an award from Pangkalan Bun Customs Office, Central Kalimantan as the Biggest Contributor of Exit Customs in 2017. The award was given directly by the Head of KPPBC TMP C Pangkalan Bun, Nurtanti Widyasari in the Hall of KPPBC TMP C, Pangkalan Bun, last April 2018. This award is the umpteenth award received by KTH from the Customs Office.
In the event, Nurtanti expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the company that has been giving contribution for Pangkalan Bun Customs Office’s performance in 2017.
In the event themed, “Ulun, Pain, Indonesia” or “Me, You, Indonesia” which carries a meaning of Customs Office and the Service Users are together in trying to build Indonesia in accordance with their respective roles. The Customs Office provides service and facilities, and the service users develops their business as best as they can to also support the country’s economy.
As a response to the award received by PT KTH, Mr. Tanaka Kenji, the General Manager of PT KTH expressed his gratitude to Pangkalan Bun Customs Office for the relation that has been running well all this time. “Hopefully, what has been contributed by PT KTH can help support the local economy to a better direction,” said Mr. Tanaka.
PT KTH’s presence in the area has indeed helped the economy’s growth in the area. Various awards has been received by PT KTH as a proof of the company’s existence that has been giving benefits to the wider community.
For example, in the education sector, PT KTH has been working with local universities in human resources quality improvement in the area. In the environmental sector, the company has been running its sustainable operation by taking concern of environmental aspects. In the health sector, the company has been providing free medical treatment to the people in need. Lastly, in the economic sector, the company has contributed to the local economy’s growth in labor absorption and foreign exchange.
