PANGKALAN BUN – PT Korintiga Hutani (KTH) has distributed aid of staple food packages which consist of rice, cooking oil, side dishes and snack as many as two trucks to flood victims in Aruta. The aid was delivered to the Vice Regent of West Kotawaringin (Kobar) Ahmadi Riansyah, and was soon given by the Vice-Regent to the residents near the location where the flood occurred, in Pangkut District, Aruta Sub-District, Monday afternoon (17/12/2018).“There are approximately 40 houses in Pangkut Village that were drowned and we, the regional government have been constantly working to help the residents. Yesterday, the Regent’s wife also delivered the aid of staple food to the residents and now, thank God, there is one outside party, PT KTH, that has helped with the staple food for the flood victims,” said the Vice Regent Ahmadi Riansyah, while being confirmed by beritasampit, after delivering the aid.
According to the Vice Regent, PT KTH through the company’s management will distribute medicines to the residents and students. So I encourage people to remain alert and if one gets sick due to flood, please report it to the village chief. The village officials must also monitor the residents’ condition and coordinate with the sub-district,” said the Vice Regent.
Meanwhile, the company management of PT KTH, Rois Sugito said that every time a flood disaster occurs, the company always supports and cares about giving to others in the form of staple food, medicines, and provision of medical personnels such as doctors and nurses for people in Aruta sub-district. “Hopefully this aid of staple food will be beneficial to ease people’s burden,” Rois Sugito said while being confirmed by beritasampit.co.id.
